User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686 (x86_64); de; rv:1.8.0.7) Gecko/20060909 Firefox/1.5.0.7
Build Identifier:

I have a dual screen setup (no streching, no window exchange). When I start a new terminal on the other screen while a terminal is running, the new one appears for short time and than both are crashed. I tried with some other applications but nor firefox either evolution show this behaviour.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.configure dual screen
2.start terminal on screenA
3.start terminal on screenB

Actual Results:
both terminals crash

Expected Results:
1. two instances, one for each screen where started
2. two instances, both on screen of 1st started terminal

appears also in terminal beta2

VTE had a bug for years, making it crash in a multiscreen setup. I suggest to either upgrade VTE (I'm not sure when the patch was actually) or search GNOME bugzilla for my VTE multiscreen patch and recompile VTE with the patch.

Unless proven otherwise, this is the well-known VTE bug.
