Apon loading xfce4-mixer in terminal or through the menu the mixer launches and then exits back to the xfce desktop.

The xfce4-mixer application terminates

Expected Results:  
The xfce4-mixer application launches a sound mixer

I am able load up xfce4-mixer through the terminal or menu by first unchecking the "RecSelect" box in the mixer settings.
