I have the next message everytime I log in:
"Unable to contact the Xfce Trash service.

Make sure you have a file manager installed that supports the Xfce Trash service, such as Thunar."

In fact Thunar starts after xfdesktop, here my two processes:
 4583 tty1 S 0:00 xfdesktop --sm-client-id 11c0a80002000115686700100000282880001 --display :0.0
 4592 tty1 S 0:00 Thunar --sm-client-id 11c0a80002000115701962300000044010001 --daemon

Same error reported on Gentoo 2006.1 2.6.17-gentoo-r7

XFCE Details:
XFCE4-4.3.99.1 (Xfce 4.4RC1) installed with GTK Installer from xfce.org.
(installed today: Sep, 4 - 2006 - 14:00 pm BRT)

---
The thunar service probably must be started earlier.

Any suggestions on where i can change this behaviour?

I can confirm the same behaviour for 4.3.99.1 (Xfce 4.4 RC1) on Linux 2.6.x

Installed using the automated GUI installer.

I do not start Thunar when Xfce starts. I'm not using a customised xinitrc, only the one supplied: /usr/local/etc/xdg/xfce4/xinitrc
