"Location selector", say what?! This just does not mean anything to me unless I know already. I think this item could be presently more clearly in another way.

I'm not a great fan of the gtk pathbar but there are times when this device can be very efficient. It's a shame we have to choose. Rather than either/or I'd like to see both as on/off options.

It would also be good to have an option "address bar" somewhere so I dont have to try "toolbar" to realise it reveals/hides the address bar as well.

In fact I'd like to separate the two as options. Implemented in the same way except that if I dont select tools I get a full width address bar.
(I have long paths in my music partition, having them chopped off is hard work. Most times I could do without the buttons but would like the address.)

That would mean replacing the enigmatic "Location selector" with three entries: pathbar; toolbar; address bar.
These would each have an on/off check box just like status bar.

This would be a lot clearer, with the advantage of selecting pathbar and address bar entry, getting the best of both worlds.

I hope you agree this would be easier to understand and add extra choice to thunar.

best regards

Reproducible: Always
