Description Yves-Alexis Perez editbugs 2006-08-27 09:27:24 CEST
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux ppc; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060626 (Debian-1.8.0.5-3) Epiphany/2.14
Build Identifier:

A debian user reported [1] (and I can confirm) that in the shortcut editor, when you only change the command (and not the associated key), the shortcut isn't effectively modified until you close the shortcut editor (or you chose another key for the shortcut).

It's not really serious, but it would be nice if the shortcut was updated as soon as the new command is validated.

Regards,

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the shortcut manager
2. change the command for an existing shortcut
3. use the shortcut

Actual Results:
the previous command is run

Expected Results:
the new command should have been run

I can confirm this on 4.4.0 also.

I wanted to add however that although the original reporter says:
"...isn't effectively modified until you close the shortcut editor..."
for me the shortcut did not update *even after* closing the shortcut editor. I had to remove the shortcut and create another to make it work.
