The "Add New Item" dialog should include a filter/search entry, because the list of plugins can get quite long.
Created attachment 722 Suggested patch This patch adds the search entry without adding any new strings. It's a minor change so that should be a possible candidate for RC1. If you want to break string freeze, you could add a tooltip to the search entry (and various other pref widgets in the panel) that might help people.
