Hi, [sorry for my non-reader-friendly english] I am working in a public library and I am using Xfce4 (Debian Sid packages) for all the public computers. Till now, kiosk mode was working very well with these 2 files : /etc/xdg/xfce4/kiosk/kioskrc (to choose which users can customize the panel) and /etc/xdg/xfce4/panel/contents.xml.fr (panel content and appearence) Yesterday, I did the upgrade to Xfce 4.3.90.1-2. Everything went quite well. I made a panel for public users and succeded to use this panel for the kiosk mode by copying all the ~/.config/xfce4/panel/*.rc files and ~/.config/xfce4/panel/panels.xml to /etc/xdg/xfce4/panel/ The problem is : now, public users can right-click on the panels and change its content. Just if needed, here is what is in my kioskrc file : [xfce4-panel] CustomizePanel=root, michael
Sounds like the panel no longer uses the kiosk functions. Jasper?
(In reply to comment #1) > Sounds like the panel no longer uses the kiosk functions. Jasper? > I can't check at this moment, but it really should. I must admit I haven't tested kiosk mode in quite a while. I need to look into this.
Ok, should be fixed in SVN revision 22442, or in the next beta release. Thanks.
