User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060513 Ubuntu/dapper Firefox/1.5.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.3) Gecko/20060513 Ubuntu/dapper Firefox/1.5.0.3 when xfce-mcs-manager is running, and I have multiple empty tabs open in firefox I cannot close them pressing ctrl-W repeatedly. It closes one tab, then to have effect on the next I have to click in that window first othwrise the ctrl-W is ignored. If I stop xfce-mcs-manager multiple ctrl-W-s work in firefox. I have seen other such issues with firefox but are harder to reproduce. The URL bar would not sense the keys I press unless switch away then back to the window using alt-tab. It appears if any of mouse, keyboard, ui plugins are in mcs_settings. Strating with an empty mcs_settings dir or with session and print, exo etc plugins in it it behaves correctly. So it may be a xfce-mcs-plugins issue. Reproducible: Always
Uhm, dunno.
Sounds like you have ctrl+w bound to some action.
I use the default shortcuts w/o modification. It's as if after one working Ctrl-W firefox loses focus and I have to click on it to sense the next Ctrl-W.
Works for me here, with Ubuntu Dapper.
ok, that's good to hear. There were no other reports from xubuntu users so I hope it's some misconfiguration on my part (even if I don't see what it is)

no, this went away after a while and I forgot to report back, so it can be closed, thanks. I still do not know what caused it though.
