Similar to the 'Arrange Items' sub-folder in the context menu, it would be good to move the 3 zoom levels ( Zoom In, Zoom Out, Normal Size ) into a Zoom sub-folder to reduce the size of the context menu.

Is that really necessary?

I personally would like them removed, as it is bad UX and these functions should be make easily accessible in the toolbar (bug 11589, Caja, Nautilus, Windows Explorer) or statusbar (Nemo, Dolphin), but as I presume people will complain about it, reducing the amount of space taken up by these entries is the best option for the time being. The context menu can get quite full when using custom actions (bug 14072).

Would be ok for me to have a slider and remove the zoom items from the context menu. I would not want to go for a submenu.

> The context menu can get quite full when using custom actions (bug 14072).
If that is the real problem, how about fixing bug 14072 instead of getting rid of some single items ?
Try to cure the cause of the problem, not the symptoms !

Generally: Please stop opening one after the next bug, stealing my time to write answers instead of actually doing development.
You would help the project much more if you would try to provide patches for the bugs you already opened ! Who needs 100 of open bugs, if there is nobody who is going to implement them ?

Within this in mind: Patches would be very welcome !
(Need to be based on https://gitlab.xfce.org/alexxcons/thunar/-/tree/ReplaceGtkAction56, since context menu is involved)

I agree that opening report after report is rather distracting.

Closing as won't fix.
