1. Take away read permission from a directory. 2. Open the directory in Thunar. 3. You get a "Permission denied" dialog an empty files list. 4. Bring read permission back to the directory (in a terminal). 5. Press <CTRL>+R to update the directory in Thunar. 6. Expected: the directory's files list. Actual: an empty files list.
I can confirm this bug. Would it not be better to jump to the parent directory or home after the error dialog?
AFAIR, the parent directory will be similar to standard behavior.
