Description bugzilla 2020-04-10 18:34:03 CEST
After installing the zoom application for video conferencing, the linked screensaver launcher in /usr/bin (also called zoom) gets changed to the application's ZoomLauncher. As such, the zoom conferencing app relaunches every time the screensaver runs. This may expose your desktop to security risks (associated with the zoom conferencing app running in the background).

My workaround (after installing the zoom conferencing app) was to rename the link /usr/bin/zoom to /usr/bin/zoomlaunch. The I changed the inbedded link on Menu and the associated app in Firefox to the new zoomlaunch link.

Anyone know what the original (pre zoom conferencing app installation) /usr/bin/zoom link was connected to?

Currently running, as follows:
 -Debian 4.9.0-12-amd64 GNU/Linux
 -XFCE version 4.12
 -Lenovo T440 laptop, i5, 8gb

Thanks, J.
