xfce 4.14 when using xfce4-session 4.14.1-1 and using the switch user dialog, switching to the second user works OK, but swithcing back to the first user keeps the first user locked out. this happens with both xfce4-screensaver and light-locker, sysVinit and systemd. to reproduce: login to first user utilize switch-user function login to second user switch back to first user with switch-user provide user password this should now give a "Session is Locked" black screen, eventually timing out and returning to the password dialog (lightlocker in my case, but similar with xfce4-screensaver). I can provide more info if you tell me what to provide.
I assume that xfce4-session is not the problem here, so I will reassign this report to xfce4-screensaver.
Does the ~/.xsession-errors.old log file (of the previous session) contain any hints?
I don't know if we can assume that xfce4-screensaver is the culprit, giving that I don't have xfce4-screensaver installed. the situation happens with both xfce4-screensaver and lightlocker. Nothing is jumping out at me in the xsession logs. the .old versions dont' have anything at all about the switched sessions, so I think only the current logs are valid. see attached.
Created attachment 9681 xession-logs dolphin is first user. fred is second user. switching to fred works fine, switching back to dolphin leaves dolphin's session locked, eventually going back to the unlock screen where unlocking fred works fine. logout of fred and returning to dolphin is fine.
