xcfe-4 settings get out of screen

Testing here Manjaro-xfce-19.0.2 or Virtualbox, default resolution is 808x800. When running "ps aux" or going to preferences content gets out of screen and can't scroll or see Accept/Exit, only hitting ESC works.

By the way it happens with other applications too.

With 0.8.9.2 still happening.

Hi. If, as you say, it happens with other apps as well, why do you think it's an xfce4-terminal issue?

You can move the window up. Right-click on the title bar and select "Move" or use Alt + left-click to reposition the window.

Happens also with pamac:

I confirm that Alt+left click works to reposition the window. So it is fine the way it is?

The attached screenshot is 808x600.

IMHO it's fair for desktop apps not to support such tiny screens.

It's the default resolution of Virtualbox new virtual machines unless you install Virtualbox Guest Additions, which is not as straightforward as you might think, depends on distro and kernel and vbox version, not to count the bugs related to that. But low resolutions are more of a niche market as time goes by. If Alt + left-click works with any UI it's fine it can be done.

I'm sorry but I don't see a way to further reduce the Properties dialog height, without restructuring it severely.
As Egmont mentioned, modern desktop apps probably shouldn't target screens as tiny as 600 px high.

I'm closing this issue.
