I have installed Xubuntu (on a virtual machine). Upgraded all the packages. In xfce4-terminal, the default accelerator keys are not appropriate for me, as in bash I would like to insert words from the previous command line. (Alt-0-. Alt-1-. etc.)

So I tried to set (change) the accelerator keys.

I have tried with Editable accelerator keys. Failed.

I have tried via editing ~/.config/xfce4/terminal/accels.scm. Failed. Because after a reboot, something has overwritten this file. Something has reset itt o the defaults.

I have tried a hack:
sudo chattr +i accels.scm
So far it seems to work, but I do not know whether there are unwanted side effects.

(xfce4-terminal 0.8.8-1 amd64)
