I am on Linux Devuan.

Create a file named : (2020).txt

Right click->Sent Mail Recipient

Message: Failed to execute child process "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/xfce4/exo/exo-compose-mail" (No such file or directory).

If I try another filename without parentheses then it works as expected.

Thanks for reporting !

However I cannot reproduce the bug. I tried with thunar master and thunar 1.8.11, using the filename you proposed.

Possibly you are using a custom action ? I used Right click->Sent To -> Mail Recipient

Does it happen for different mailing programms ? (I tried thunderbird)

I also have Thunderbird and I am not using a custom action, I do the same, Right click->Sent To->Mail Recipient

Is there something else I can check?

I booted the Devuan live ISO and it comes with Thunar 1.6.3 (based on Debian Jessie). Did you install version 1.8.11 manually?

The bug is not reproducible with the old version either.

I previously had Gnome3 on Debian then moved to Devuan + XFCE4. I guess then it would be only me having the problem.
