After the 19.3 upgrade, suspend is not working properly. When in suspend state, upon pressing the power button or moving a mouse, instead of coming back it simply shuts down. This did not happen in 19.2 and no modifications have been made.
Which distribution is that? Did the version of xfce4-power-manager change due to the upgrade?
Mint 19.3 XFCE
Perhaps it's relevant. I have Mint 19.3 XFCE, in a Laptop.Upgraded from 19.2, When setting the parameter to "Do nothing" When power button is pressed, everything is good. Nothing happens if i press the power button. In every else setting, no matter what i chose, it logs out. I was using and like to use "Ask" ant work perfect in Mint 19, 19.1, 19.2 And because i miss the shut down button from the menu popup window, i did a clean fresh installation of Linux Mint 19.3 and of course this didn't solve anything. If i have to open a new Bug report please let me know.
Please check if there are any related log entries in ~/.xsession-errors.old (log file of the previous session). Also, see if anything of interest was logged by the system: $ journalctl -b Previous boot in case the system did shut down: $ journalctl -b -1
