Thanks for sorting it out !
Not sure if everything inside Thunar.desktop.in.in as well needs to be lower case ? ... to be tested.

Not sure how to test it ... I uninstalled the old exo, installed the new one and tried exo-open <SomeFolder>, which seems to work .. though I am not sure if I tested the new .desktop file

"gtk-launch thunar.desktop" directly on the file as well opens thunar .. so I am confident  :)

Is there a reason why you changed the X-XFCE-Binaries value to lowercase also, or does it make no difference if "Thunar" or "thunar" is executed?

Afaik the thunar binary is lowercase since some versions:

It was lowercase all the time, but the symlink is uppercase.

Interesting ..  than I wonder what was the effect of AndreLDM's patch :)

I thought it makes sense to target the lowercase binary, if we are renaming the .desktop file to lowercase.

Guess it's anyhow better (aka direct) to target the binary, not the symlink ?
