I am trying to connect to an FTP site in thunar, and it connects, but the file listing shows as blank for any FTP site. 

SFTP sites come up fine. I tried another distro from a Live session and it didn't connect either. 

So in short, FTP in Thunar blank, SFTP, not blank.

Works here. I tested it with ftp.suse.de using Thunar 1.8.9 on Xubuntu 19.10.
