Created attachment 9095 no icons GNOME removed utilities-system-monitor icon from Adwaita icon theme (the default icon theme), so there is no longer an icon for Task Manager in Applications Menu. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/adwaita-icon-theme/commit/f0e1607b233952705f8abd9bf89272de69432dd9 Also, there are no icons for "Run program.../Application Finder/Terminal emulator" (upper left corner).
I assume that various applications use those removed icons, so the issue should be forwarded to the GNOME devs also.
Given the commentary at the commit "Applications ship their own app icons.", I guess they removed it intentionally, and it breaks nothing in gnome. Even utilities-terminal is now in legacy sub-dir /usr/share/icons/Adwaita/16x16/legacy/utilities-terminal.png.
Maybe they should have moved the utilities-system-monitor icon there too.
Yeah, I do not get it why they did not.
