Could you give a few more details about the bug? Which version of xfce4-notifyd are you using on which distribution? Does the log get populated once you click the "refresh" button (left bottom circular arrow in your screenshot)? You can also check if the file $HOME/.cache/xfce4/notifyd/log exists.

Hi, I'm using the version 0.4.4 on Debian. Unfortunately, the log doesn't get populated after refreshing. Also, I noticed that the file "$HOME/.cache/xfce4/notifyd/log" doesn't exist.
Since you're also the reporter of https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15944 let's wait and see if you really use xfce4-notifyd or some other notification service. (While xfce4-notifyd may be installed, if notification-daemon was previously installed, it may prevent xfce4-notifyd from even starting up as they share the same dbus name.)

It seems that there's nothing wrong with XFCE. What caused the problem was in fact a 3rd-party installed package called 'dunst', and everything has worked fine since uninstalling it. Thanks for your help.
