Grrr...I hate bugzilla. I'm like 90% sure this is a duplicate.

I don't feel strongly about this, since I can see the case for both ways of handling. A quick survey of random editors I have installed is that Geany and Gedit do this like Mousepad, whereas VSCode doesn't consider the document changed (but it also doesn't de-sensitize the Save option either, so you can still save it).

Nevermind, it was (several) Github Issues for the same thing in Geany, another editor I contribute to.
