Hi, when you create a new launcher in the desktop via right click menu -> Create Launcher, the .desktop file is missing the +x bit and shows a warning to the user when first run: "The .desktop file is in an insecure location and not executable...".

The user has the option to mark it as executable, but since the user just created the launcher, shoudn't it be considered secure and therefore executable from the start?
