Problem:
When copying file from one folder to another on a Synology NAS DS918 on Local LAN with SMB.
You get an message "Software caused connection abort". You then have multiple choices. If you pick [Ja] meaning Yes the file will be copied. See picture.

System:
Distro: Arch Linux
Kernel: 5.1.7-arch1-1-ARCH x86_64 bits: 64
Desktop: Xfce 4.13.4

I discovered fault in Thunar 1.8.6
Downgraded Thunar from 1.8.6 to 1.8.0. (but with same Fault).
Same procedure with Gentoo Thunar 1.6.16 works OK

Best Regards

Were you using thunar-shares-plugin 0.2.0 when checking thunar 1.6.16?
Maybe the changes introduced by the previous maintainer could have caused this.
If possible, please try to build from this commit prior [1] to the gtk3/thunarx-3 port and check again with thunar 1.6.16.

Problem solved.

System:
Distro: Arch Linux
Kernel: 5.4.8-arch1-1 x86_64 bits: 64
Desktop: Xfce 4.14.1

Thunar: 1.8.11

Did not build your "thunar-shares-plugin-031446a.tar.gz" pior to this.

Sorry for late reply.
