Description Paul Menzel 2019-05-27 15:55:33 CEST
Updating the Xfce components from the 4.13.x releases to the current releases, a user reported, that maximizing the window of GNOME Terminal, the output of things happening afterward are not visible. Blindly typing something, one can verify, that it still works (for example by starting a program, whose windows is then opened). Minimizing the windows, the windows is updated, and the output (also from before) can be seen. It’s GNOME Terminal 3.0.0.

We updated the components below.

662e55d9 xfce4-session: Update version from 4.13.1 to 4.13.2
626e2299 xfconf: Update version from 4.13.5 to 4.13.7
a48aa440 xfwm4: Update version from 4.13.1 to 4.13.2
c16992cc xfce4-settings: Update version from 4.13.5 to 4.13.6
a5319e60 xfdesktop: Update version from 4.13.3 to 4.13.4
e9ab60aa xfce4-appfinder: Update version from 4.13.0 to 4.13.3
40fb590a xfce4-panel: Update version from 4.13.4 to 4.13.5

What version?

Any ideas, how to debug that?

What is Xfce’s policy regarding regressions with old programs?

Both current gnome-terminal 3.32.2/vte-0.28.2 and git master.
