Description Chester Doran 2019-05-22 15:15:14 CEST
Overview:
In Thunar, clicking 'Insert emoji' in the right-click context menu on the search box doesn't display an emoji dialog and causes Thunar to lock up.

Steps to reproduce:
1) Ctrl-F or start typing to bring up search box.
2) Right-click in the box and select "Insert emoji"

Expected results:
Insert emoji dialog to appear

Actual results
Thunar is unable to be closed, type to search doesn't work, and no emoji dialog appears.

Additional details:
Clicking on a file icon allows you to search and close Thunar again.

Fedora 30 (Xfce spin)
Thunar 1.8.6
exo 0.12.5-1

I can reproduce, with Icons and Compact List views the search input just disappears, but with Detailed view Thunar is unresponsive, no error message, the CPU is at 0~1%.

Wow, didn't know that there was a "Inserrt emoji" menu.
I can reproduce the problem, with a complete lock of thunar.
