In Appearance tab the text for title says "Applications Menu". Maybe this string should be translatable in whiskermenu. Or perhaps taken from elsewhere if a common string like this is already translated elsewhere.
The string is already translatable, and it is "Applications" by default, not "Applications Menu". Maybe your distro changed it to something else in the defaults settings file?
