Dear all, I am wondering whether Thunar could show a low disk warning in form of a desktop notification whenever /home is low on space? Would you want to consider such a feature? 🙂👍 Thank you for the discussion!
Yes, sounds like a good idea. There is already an open bug for that feature: Bug #5901 , and there is even some patch attached ... but probably it wont apply against the current thunar master, some work is needed. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 5901 ***
Uh, sorry, I overlooked the desktop notification part. However I anyhow think that the linked bug would be the better solution. It is not clear when / in which frequency thunar could popup a desktop notification. At startup would not work out, since thunar usually is started by dbus ... whereas the notification service may not run yet.
