Tree side pane not synchronizing on network mounts
Status:
RESOLVED: WORKSFORME

Description Massimo Burcheri 2019-02-26 08:35:28 CET
Since 1.8.4, some deep paths on cifs mounts are not syncing the Tree side pane anymore.

How to reproduce:
* CTRL+B to switch to bookmarks
* Choose a bookmark on the cifs mounts
* The right pane is switching to the directory correctly
* Now switch back to Tree side pane withj CTRL+E
The expected behaviour that was working before 1.8.4:
* The tree pane was synchronizing stepwise down to the selected directory

But it does not and stops on half of the path. Switching to deeper directories on the right does not sync the left pane at all. Browsing to the directory manually on the left pane works fine, however after using the right pane, the left pane is switched back to some parent directory and not synchronizing anymore.

Thanks for reporting !

However I cannot reproduce the bug here on my nfs. Tried with a path of 12 sub-folders.

What do you mean by "deep paths" / How deep you need to go to trigger the bug ?
Does it happen for all deep pathes, or only for a very specific one ?
Does it always stop at a specific folder ? On which folder ?

Can you past the problematic path here, if it is only one a specific one ?

Closing, since cannot reproduce, and thread starter does not add further info.

Feel free to reopen if further info is added !
