When I am using a program like Firefox Quantum and I am attempting to enter something into the search space on the toolbar, the cursor arrow stays over the text.

This does not seem to be a problem in other situations because I am using Unclutter.

Is it specific to FF?

The window manager does not manage the pointer, the client and Xorg do.

Thank you for the information.  Sometimes it is tough to tell what is going on and which part is to blame.
