Could you please give me an insight into how you're using this feature? I don't think I've seen any terminal app supporting this.

Thanks for reviewing the patch. I've been using this patch since an earlier version of xfce4-terminal which did not have the "Visual bell" option. Back then I used to make it execute `notify-send --icon=terminal _` on bell. I imagine others might want to play a sound or run xdotool. For my own use case "Visual bell" is enough.

I'm really not feeling like adding this feature... Seems your use case seems to be fulfilled, can we close this request for now? Until someone with a similar request appears.
