Addendum: The problem occurs only if the sidebar is set as tree view.

The bug moved. Since it is better lifted at Manjaro, I have medet in bugs.manjaro.org. Thanks for your time.
Not sure why it should be better to file the bug in bugs.manjaro.org. (Would be nice to have a link ) I recently fixed some tree-view bugs, possibly this one is related. Here the bugs: Bug #14960 Bug #14714 Bug #14900 To be released in thunar 1.8.3 soon.
