when working in no ambiental light, I need more distance on the lower end of the slider to fine tune adjust the brightness

currently the slider is linear. to fine tune the lower values of brightness, it would be useful that lower values should be adjusted with a exponential slider, not linear.

to see what i mean, go into a total dark room and try to adjust the brightness on the lower level to a comfort level. you will find the need to do the adjustment more precisely but you have very few pixels available to tune.
