RESOLVED: INVALID

Description Anlity60 2018-12-08 09:37:21 CET
Component:
Panel - Notification Area

OS:
Linux MX, Peppermint

Summary:
On a fresh install, keyboard languages are represented by national flags in the panel notification area. This is ugly and unnecessary.

Description:

    Overview:

National flags are an eyesore, ugly, political, and take up a lot of space. A simple US or EN lettering based on your keyboard layout would suffice and would be much more convenient and aesthetically pleasing.

    Steps to Reproduce:

        1) Look to the notification area of the Panel

        2) See a national flag that sticks out because it doesn't match the theme.

    Actual Results:

Keyboard layout is represented by national flags by default.

    Expected Results:

Keyboard layout is represented by letters by default

Hi, sorry, but this is up to your distribution (Peppermint?) to fix, we can't tell them how to ship/configure Xfce.
Also the correct component would probably be the xkb plugin, so I moved the bug there...
