Created attachment 8083 Icons look differently with Xfce-dusk Not sure, maybe I should have created different bugs for different plugins, but since many plugins suffer from the same issue, perhaps some clever trick can be invented to if not solve, at least mitigate the issue. With a dark theme (And I use Xfce-dusk as a colour theme and HighContrast as an icon theme), panel icons for some panel plugins either stay unchanged, or change, but the background is still default. In particular, the icons involved include: 1)xfce4-clipman-plugin-1.4.2-x86_64-2 2)xfce4-mount-plugin-1.1.2-x86_64-1_SBo 3)xfce4-cpugraph-plugin-1.0.5-x86_64-1_SBo 4)xfce4-wavelan-plugin-0.6.0-x86_64-1_SBo 5)xfce4-volumed-pulse-0.2.2-x86_64-1_SBo 6)xfce4-notifyd-0.4.2-x86_64-2 7)xfce4-systemload-plugin-1.2.1-x86_64-2 Please, see the screenshot attached for the example. Maybe, if the icons cannot be redrawn, for example if the plugins are not maintained any more, maybe some algorithms can be invented to coerce the existing icons into looking less dissimilar, and an option would be available to be set in the settings?
Xfce-dusk doesn't really support the Gtk+3 plugins in the xfce4-panel as far as I know and that's the problem. So the theme is at fault, not the panel.
Where shall I refile the bug?
To be frank it doesn't make sense to file a bug against Xfce-dusk. It's part of the xfce-gtk-engine which has been deprecated and archived recently: https://git.xfce.org/archive/gtk-xfce-engine/tree/themes/dusk This means it's not maintained anymore, there will be no more fixes/releases in the future.
