When unmounting a network share, disk, or other device, any Thunar windows that are open at that location should be automatically closed.

Currently windows/tabs pointing to the mount default to $HOME after unmounting ... so the current situation is not too bad  :)

Yes, I would agree that it would be superior to close them instead.

It is as easy as to add a call to thunar_window_action_close_window in thunar_window_device_pre_unmount or at thunar_window_device_changed when it checks that the root is invalid.

All in all, I don't like this behavior, returning to home is preferable to me.
