When turning off 'Show colored bars' 1 out of 3 color pattern might show up randomly (no change, the correct one or a faulty one). The 'on' mode seems to work reliably though.
Just click the box several times and watch the bars. If the bug doesn't occur on your side i can create a screencast for demonstration.

Never mind. After a reboot it works properly. Not sure what was wrong. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Just to separate feature from bug: values between 0 and 10 or 90 and 100%, respectively, result in red color independent from colored mode or not. Similar, 10-20% or 80-90% result in yellow.

However, I experience the same problems you mentioned. Thus, I reopened the bug. The problem might lie in multiple CSS section definitions and resulting indeterministic behavior in choosing a CSS section. Will have to investigate further.

The wrong colors were either green, black or purple. Somehow the color grouping was corrupt. Usually green are mainboard sensors, purple are hdds and black is nvidia card. But sometimes they were mixed up. But as said before the bug seems gone here.

I can remember that when the bug occured i (re-)started the panel several times from shell (because of testing another bug) and the program somehow was in another state/environment indeed (the language was english that usually is not the case) so its possible that this was just an environmental side effect here. I started the panel with 'setsid xfce4-panel'. I'm not sure though if i explicitly set LANG=C or something.
