when i run xfce4-settings-manager
from xfce4-settings 4.12.4-1

and in the top-right corner
search for 'dpi'
then no results are found

i expect to be pointed to
appearance ----> fonts ----> DPI

the 'Appearance' dialog
seems to use the wrong tabs widget.

in contrast,
search for 'terminal'
also shows 'Preferred Applications'
which also is a tabbed dialog,
but the tabs look different there.

these sub-dialogs are search-able

[Settings Editor]

i also noticed
when i call
LANG=C xfce4-settings-manager
then some of the sub-dialogs
are called with my default LANG
affected are
File Manager
Panel

LANG=C thunar-settings
dont work either
it just will use my default LANG
