On Launchpad: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/thunar/+question/674670 Steps to reproduce: - Export a reply to an email using e.g. Thunderbird. Use the default filename e.g. "Re: A quick message.eml" - Attempt to move this file to an SMB share using Thunar (file manager) What happened: - Error message "No such file or directory, do you want to skip it?" appears. What I expected to happen: - Operation to succeed, or an error message explaining that colons are not allowed in filenames on SMB shares.
Thanks for reporting. I dont have a smb share @home, so I cannot test. However maybe I can take a try at work sooner or later. Sooo the actual problem is, that filenames with colon cannot be copied to SMB shares ? ( Does the thunderbird part here matter at all ? ) ... actually I dont think that this is a thunar problem.
