Problem with fullscreen break

Description markohietala 2018-09-11 15:52:39 CEST
I use this while following youtube tutorial videos for some programs. So I have youtube on fullscreen on one Workspace and the program I'm learning on another.

When the break starts I can't pause the video without Postponing the break. So I then have to manually start the break again after doing that.

The last time I couldn't move my mouse, use any key combination or anything really during the break. So I had to wait for the break to stop, but even then I'm left with Resume button and the same lack of responsiveness. So I had to force quit and lost a bunch of unsaved work.

I would rather see the break be a nasty, shaking, beeping little pop-up thing on any corner or the center of the screen but still have the option to switch workspaces and pause the youtube video for instance.

This bug has gotten much more annoying in version 1.1.0, since it started blocking application shortcuts.

This annoying screen locks up when my computer goes to standby/inactive mode.

I can still activate postpone using Alt+P when the blocker appears. Running 1.1.0-1 from extra.

But I agree. The force fullscreen block is also extremely annoying during games. And please note that some online games cannot be paused.

May I suggest having an option for replacing the fullscreen block with a notification or sound, or any alternative that doesn't steal focus? I'm fine with receiving incessant notifications once a minute if I don't go on break, for example. Or at least an option to have a fair warning before the block goes into effect.

I should also add that sometimes you may want to leave the screen working *during* a break, for instance if you want access to music controls, or to leave a Twitch channel going etc.
