It seems that panel transparency is broken in the 4.13 branch...

Attached a screenshot of what I do with 4.12.

Is this regression handled ?

Are you referring to the backgrounds in the clock applet and workspace applet ?

If so then your component is wrong. Please re-attach this error to xfce4-panel and not Xfdesktop. Since Xfdesktop is another component of Xfce4, which is not related to the issues you reported.
