I can't copy text from my Xfce Terminal (0.4.7) into the clipboard nor directly into the command line. I've tried:

1. Middle mouse button
2. Ctrl+Shift+C
3. Ctrl + Insert
4. Right button and clicking copy (this isn't grayed out, it just doesn't do anything)
5. Edit → Preferences → Shortcuts → messing with the shortcuts in search for any copy shortcut that will do the trick
6. Rebooting the terminal
It's probably worth mentioning that pasting from other sources works just fine.

The most frustrating thing is, all my co-workers have the exact same terminal version as I do (Xfce 0.4.7), the same operating system (Linux CentOS 6.8), the same programs installed on them, and no one is experiencing this bug other than me! I must have messed up some settings sometime but I really don't know what might cause this bug.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

What version of the terminal are you using? I doubt it could really be 0.4.7... or is it?

Oh my goodness :)

Would it be possible for you to upgrade to a newer version (0.8.x, preferably)? 0.4.7 is 7.5 years old, and it's absolutely impossible to release a fix for it, or even to debug the issue, especially if you're saying noone else is experiencing it.

As a test: can you create a new user on your machine and try the terminal?

Oh, I'm working from a corporate computer so I'm not allowed to create new users. I'll just try to upgrade my terminal.

Thanks!

You could also try resetting the terminal to the default settings by removing its config files (having made a backup, of course). I believe they are stored under ~/.config/Terminal/ directory for version 0.4.7 so you could rename it to Terminal.bck and see if that helps.

That would be the preferable option.
