Hi, I'm running xfce4-terminal version 0.8.7.3 and for some reason an extra line is added to the terminal window whenever tabs are shown. I'm attaching an image shown tig's output with and without an extra tab open. It looks like xfce4-terminal isn't reporting its height correctly. I'm running 4.12.4 (revision 7844952) on x64 Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, by the way. Thanks!
Created attachment 7826 With and without open tabs. The second window shows an extra empty line at the bottom.
I meant I'm running xfwm version 4.12.4 (revision 7844952)
Hi Tomas, Thanks for the report! This is a very weird bug: I've seen the terminal losing rows when adding a tab (which has finally been resolved in 0.8.7.4), but not adding rows. A couple of points, just to make sure: Are you using X window system or Wayland? (the terminal geometry is known to behave weirdly under Wayland) Does this happen when no client app is running within the terminal? (I'm seeing a kind of git log on the screenshot so I wonder if that may be related) Can you by any chance try version 0.8.7.4? Thanks!
Yes, this happens when running no programs too, and both with regular tabs and the slim ones. I'm running a pretty stock minimal instalation of Xubuntu, so no Wayland. I'd be happy to try 0.8.7.4. Do you have (or know of) a PPA or must I build everything from scratch?

Just built and tried 0.8.7.4. Problem seems fixed!
(In reply to Tomas Pollak from comment #6) > Just built and tried 0.8.7.4. Problem seems fixed! (that's what I was secretly hoping for ;) Thanks for taking your time to test it! I'm closing the bug; feel free to open if anything pops up.
