This bug insists for the implementation of the familiar window effects wobbly windows, various window effects ie. magic lamp, essentially grab the good stuff from compiz, or better yet fork it, modernise it and properly implement into the xfce de. KDE has built in effects, xfce should have it implimented modularized for only people who want it.

I don't know about wobbly windows, but some light effects like scaling when maximizing and minimizing would improve usability.

I'm currently using Compton to achieve that, and it works well.

+1 though.

If anything, this would be a topic for xfwm4, not the panel.
Comment 3 Gianluca Pettinello 2018-07-01 11:26:52 CEST
I support this as well. Should be modularized.
This would make xfwm4 superior.
It could be started with simple effects like fading on minimize and close, shadow radius configuration, and then go on with magic lamp, blur and so on.
Thanks!
