After a recent update to something (I'm not sure what exactly upgraded - may have been xfce-terminal, or some other package), my keyboard shortcut which triggers a dropdown terminal (executes xfce4-terminal --drop-down) no longer causes the terminal to open and remain open. About 90-95% of the time, I see the terminal open and then close immediately; rarely it opens and stays open. i am able to open the terminal without the --drop-down switch and it opens without issue; I can then execute my keybinding (ie with --drop-down) and it will always close. I had seen a recent reddit post describing this issue, but can no longer find it. I am running Arch Linux.
Hi Craig, and thanks for the report! However, the bug has already been fixed in git. Since you're using Arch Linux, you could install xfce4-terminal-git AUR package to restore the keyboard shortcut functionality. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 14289 ***
