Hi,

Running mousepad from terminal using sudo results in high CPU usage.

In terminal I get this (probably unrelated):

(mousepad:11769): dconf-WARNING **: failed to commit changes to dconf: The connection is closed

Found a debian bugreport for the same:

I can't reproduce this using latest code from Git master.

Would you be able to try building from Git master source? A number of bugs that could be the culprit have been fixed there.

Yup, built package with git master as source, did not get high CPU usage :-)

What to do now though..

Just continue to use master branch (it's stable), and when next your distro updates the package, you can just use that.

Cool, thank you.

I maintain mousepad on SBo [1], in case the next release is far away I can update it to a recent git revision.
