Description Benedikt Meurer editbugs 2006-01-31 09:01:16 CET
Thunar should read its templates from $XDG_DATA_DIRS/Templates and open the
$XDG_DATA_HOME/Templates when the user selects "Go" -> "Templates".
Comment 1 Benedikt Meurer editbugs 2006-01-31 09:02:23 CET
In addition, if ~/Templates is present, it should also display the Nautilus
templates found in this folder.
Comment 2 Benedikt Meurer editbugs 2006-01-31 09:11:58 CET

Look in $XDG_DATA_HOME/templates for templates

I think this should be reconsidered. I changed some code to make Thunar look for templates in $XDG_DATA_HOME/templates and so far it seems to work well.

Please have a look at my patch and consider merging it into Trunk to get this into 1.x

Um, I tested this one today and it does just work™.

After setting up the variable XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR in ~/.config/user-dirs.dir, Thunar correctly enters this directory from the "Go" menu and also displays it’s content as entries in the "New" menu.
