I am using xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin in the lower right corner and set notifications to appear in the lower right corner aswell.

Before notifyd-0.3, notifications would appear behind the slider. Now they pop up right on top of it, denying my ability to use the slider. See screenshot.

This is related to how Gtk3 interacts with windowing (menus and popups specifically), unfortunately nothing we can really fix in xfce4-notifyd.

As this problem has come up before it was fixed in xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin, released in 0.2.5:

Thank you Simon, you just made me aware of this update. Guess that's how it'll have to be. I see lots of GTK3-related workaround in the future :)

To be honest not showing the popup while changing the volume in the menu's slider is okay behaviour ;)
