The colored bar on the panel does not get reset

Normally, when you start a timer, the vertical bar representing the plugin on the panel gets colored, and as the timer runs out the bar gets lower until it's not filled with color again when the time left is 0 and the message: "Beeep! :) 
Time is up for the alarm ." pops up.

This pop up presents two options: "Close" and "Rerun the timer". If you choose "Close", the bar on the panel gets colored again and stays like this "forever" bacause the timer is not set. To get it to the default state you need to run some timer and manually stop it from the menu that is brought up by left-clicking on the bar.
