I have been using xfce-screenshooter for a while and now I realize it doesnt work with big images. For example, my desktop is FULLHD 1920x1080, if I press PrintScr and capture all the screen at once, then choose the option copy to clipboard, I can never paste it in any other applications. Pasting into chrome, pinta, gimp, libre office... immediately makes them hang and no image was pasted after a minute.
First, I tried going around forums and the internet to see what makes this happen. It appears to me that people never saw this behaviour on any other platform, even Ubuntu works fine. So I thought it must be XFCE-specific. Then I tried using other screenshot app to take screenshots to see if the same behaviour happens. I used Shutter, which is a very popular app and it works fine. If it works fine then the problem must not come from the clipboard as well. After that, I continue to tried pasting screenshots in different applications with UI built on different framework from QT to GTK+. Again, pasting just failed!
However, if i choose to capture just a small window or a part of a screen. The features work as desired.
Is this a bug or a feature (more like resolution limit, maybe!?) of xfce-screenshooter ?
