Created attachment 6975 Power manager settings not obeyed. Notebook goes into suspend (when it is plugged in and lid is closed) even when the power manager setting is set to "Lock screen". I have attached a screenshot of my power manager settings. I am using Fedora 25 (XFCE spin). However, if I set On battery settings to "Lock screen" or "Hibernate", it works as expected.
I think this has to do with Systemd/Logind, and probably a lack of support for it. In my /etc/systemd/logind.conf I had: "#HandleLidSwitch=suspend" by default. Changing it to: "HandleLidSwitch=ignore" fixed it for me. I think it would be a good thing if Poer Manager supported Systemd/Logind as in changing the settings here.
Have you tried the following? xfconf-query -c xfce4-power-manager -p /xfce4-power-manager/logind-handle-lid-switch -n -t bool -s false
